Collab beersNew

Brew it together, keep both catalogues in step

A collab beer sits in the catalogue of every brewery that brewed it, each with its own products, prices and partners. BeerCollab links them, so what one brewery corrects reaches the other, and every wholesaler gets the same allergens from both.

How it works

From an invitation to two beers in step

One brewery invites, the other joins with the beer it wants in its catalogue. From then on the two beers are linked.

  1. 1YouInvite the other breweryFrom the beer's Collab section, pick a brewery that is open to collab invitations. It gets an email and an item in its Inbox; you can withdraw the invitation while it waits.
  2. 2The other breweryJoin with a copy, or with a beer you haveThe invited brewery creates the beer as a copy of yours, or links a beer it already has and ticks which of your values to take over. A brewery whose catalogue comes from its ERP links the beer its import brings.
  3. 3Both breweriesPair the productsEach brewery pairs its products with the other's, one to one: by linking a product it has, or by copying the other's, with its packaging.
  4. 4By itselfChanges travel by themselvesA new ABV, allergen or description at one brewery reaches the other, as a proposal or straight away, as it chose. Once a day an email says how many came in.

Your call, field by field

Decide what their changes do to your beer

Per field, each brewery chooses what happens with a change the other brewery makes. The name keeps your own value to start with: “A × B Hazy” at one brewery is often “B × A Hazy” at the other.

  • Review

    Default

The change becomes a proposal on your beer page and in your Inbox: take it over or dismiss it. The default for every field but the name.

  • Follow

The change is taken over straight away. Useful for the fields you trust the other brewery with, such as allergens.

  • Own value

    Default for the name

The change is not forwarded, and you keep your own value.

What stays yours

Linked, never merged

Each brewery keeps its own beer and products. A collab only carries the fields that describe the beer itself.

  • Your ERP stays in charge

A collab never writes a value your ERP manages. Such a change becomes a to-do, “Change in Douano”, that closes by itself once the import brings the value.

How the ERP integration works →
  • Only the beer is shared

The other brewery sees your collab beer's name and the fields a collab carries. Never your other products, partners, agreements or other prices; your partners see nothing of the collab.

  • Your own products, GTINs and prices

Prices only travel between breweries that sell in the same currency. When both of you sell the same can, you may take its GTIN, even in GTIN strict mode, with the other brewery named as its owner.

Finding each other

Open to collabs, on your terms

Whether other breweries may invite you is a choice of its own, next to your directory visibility.

  • Open to collab invitations

Until you choose, you are open while partners can find you in the brewery directory. Closed to new partners and open to collabs, or the other way round: both are possible.

    How the directory works →
  • A list only breweries see

Breweries that are open show in a list only other breweries see, with their name, place and logo. An invitation always waits for you to accept it.

  • Leave whenever you like

Your beer and products stay in your catalogue. Only the link ends, and the changes still waiting lapse.

Questions breweries ask

What if the other brewery is not on BeerCollab?
For now, both breweries need an account; registering is free. Inviting a brewery that is not on BeerCollab yet is on the planning.
We both sell the same can. Do we need two GTINs?
No. The brewery that has the GTIN keeps it, and the other may take it over for its paired product, with the first brewery named as its owner.
Do our prices reach each other?
Only the consumer price and the hospitality advisory price, and only between breweries that sell in the same currency. Your other prices, deposits and agreements never travel.
Do our wholesalers see that it is a collab?
Not yet. Each brewery shares its own beer with its own partners, as with any beer. Showing a collab to partners and on share pages is on the planning.
What comes next?
Packaging details such as dimensions and pallet layout, label artwork and photos, inviting breweries that are not on BeerCollab yet, and proposing a joint release date. All on the planning, none built yet.
